THE CELEBRATION AND BLESSING OF A MARRIAGE is a solemn event witnessing the life long covenant between a man and woman in the presence of God. At least one of the persons must be baptized and there must be two witnesses. In order to be married in St. Thomas' Church the bride or groom (or both) must be active members/supporters of the parish. In some cases Episcopalians who are not members of St. Thomas' may be married in the church. In all cases a minimum of 30 days notice is required and, in the case of a previous marriage ended by divorce, a minimum of 60 days is required. All couples are required to have pre-marital meetings with the clergy and all weddings must conform to the Book of Common Prayer. Before making any plans the couple should call the parish office to arrange a meeting with the clergy.
