St. Thomas' Episcopal Church

The Member Resources Commission focuses on identifying, encouraging, assisting and stewarding lay participation in the mission and ministry of St. Thomas’. The Commission is responsible for identifying the talents, availability and interest of new and long-term members. It encourages and enables each parishioner to discern his/her personal call to service, and to offer his/her time and talents to one of our many commissions, programs, outreach projects or fellowship activities.

• assist the Council of Ministries in receiving, weighing and coordinating lay ministry ideas;
• build and maintain a talents-and-interest inventory, and assist program leaders with filling volunteer positions;
• remind parishioners of the value of personal service and publicize opportunities for ministry;
• support group activities and special events in order to facilitate the strong fellowship bonds that support and promote service.
